For many years, I was the wife of a veteran who loved and served our country so well. We were both always very thankful to be a citizens of this great country and we never took that for granted.
Early in December, I responded to an article that someone posted on social media that absolutely ran down and trashed the United States of America. So, I took the time to defend the country I love.
- We are blessed to live in the greatest country ever! Those that don’t feel that way are free to leave and go to live in the European country they think is so much better! Some of us wish they would!
- Instead, those kind of people just want to share the wealth that belongs to someone else! They’re always discontent and complaining!
- It’s time for people to be content with what they have or get to work earning their own way and money and then help others who honestly can’t take care of themselves.
- Many people are clamoring to come to America but then many of them want everything to be given to them from the government!
- Well guess who funds the government! People who work! That’s who!! Freeloaders don’t pay for needed social programs but workers do! Socialist Governments are the ones that have not and cannot survive!
- Yes, there is corruption in our legal system and our political system and a lot of other systems but we still have the best country in the world!
- Oh, and maybe that author and his kind should open their eyes to read the latest economic reports for our country! We’ve certainly got a long way to go in many areas but we’re still far ahead of everyone else, especially when you consider the diverse and ethnic assortment of people we are made of!
- Yes, God has blessed the USA! It’s time to start counting the blessings we do have, instead of bellyachin’!
- May God take our own wounded hearts and minds and heal them as only He can do. No government or political party or social justice program will ever do it!
- But, God can and He will, but only when we submit our will to His control. I am praying for our country, it’s leaders, and for you and me! May God help us all!
____, I commented on your post of the article, because it raised so many red flags of sadness, disappointment, and hopelessness. I face those giants all of the time since I lost my Mike. I don’t know what I would do without my hope in Jesus Christ as the one who holds this world we live in.
Both of us know the whole world is kind of a mess right now. But, both of us know who will ultimately govern the world. Governments come and go, but Jesus Christ is a foundation we can base our life on.
Yes, I already knew we disagreed on a lot of things. I have refrained many times from commenting on many of your posts, just as you probably have refrained from commenting on a lot of mine.
I have loved the name of ____ since I was a little girl. The first person I ever knew with that name helped raise me to be who I am today. He was one of my heroes, not just as my grandpa, but as one of the most godly, gentle, prayerful, and loving men I’ve ever known.
He would kneel in his home 3 times each day and his prayers from his holiness minister’s heart ascended to heaven, covering all of his family, including you and me. I was there many, many times kneeling right beside him and grandma.
What a legacy we have to cherish and try to live up to! It only takes one generation for a family to lose their religious foundation. Your (…) was faithful and my mother was, also.
But, I fear for our generation, sometimes, and for those that follow us. Only by keeping our eyes and hearts on Jesus Christ will we help form an unbroken family circle around God’s throne some day. So help me, God! I love you …!
We are so blessed to live in the United States of America. I am forever thankful that I was born in this country and married a man who was also proud to be an American and to serve in the U.S. Air Force!
